Photo + Video Questions

  • At most, about two weeks from the date of the photoshoot. If you have a hard deadline, be sure to let us know so that we can try our best to get your photos into your hands by that date. You can also pay a rush fee and we will guarantee that you will have your photos before your deadline.

  • It really depends on the type of work. We are able to shoot a wide range of pieces at our studio, and if you are able to easily bring the work to us, that would be great! Otherwise we are happy to make a trip out to your studio to shoot pieces that are particularly large or not easily moved. If we are doing an on-site visit, we bring all our equipment and backdrops with us.

  • No. All our studio images are on a white background because we believe that a white background showcases artwork in the best way. Branding images, context images, and lifestyle images are the exception - these happen in a space and we’ll create customized real-life backgrounds based on our meetings with you.

  • Branding photos can be very valuable tools in promoting your work and getting your audience to understand your practice and your overall aesthetic. We will work with you to create personal images that may include models, other objects, natural backgrounds, and more. We’re looking to create images that convey a particular point of view or “vibe”.

  • In our initial consultation we’ll discuss your goals, aesthetic considerations, shoot location, and timeline so we can build the most accurate estimate possible. After a contract is signed we’ll meet to go over more specific shots and create a shoot list for our scheduled shoot day(s).

 

Web-related Questions

  • We work primarily with Squarespace. We find that their interface is the easiest to use after the website is set up. We use custom CSS codes and as well as individual page code injections to customize your site as needed. We can also work within other platforms such as Weebly, Wix, and Shopify.

  • Yes! We will meet with you before we start working to get a sense of what kind of new design you are looking for. We’ll talk through the pros and cons of a few different options.

  • In most cases, this is a definite possibility. It depends on your current website platform. If your current website platform is prohibitive, we are happy to help you transition to a different platform that makes selling artwork online easy.

  • The short answer is: yes! The long answer is that we are more than happy to assist you in setting up an Etsy store, and can help you to link it to your current website. We can also help you to make an informed decision about the pros and cons of Etsy vs. building your own integrated web shop that is part of your existing website, or part of a new website.

  • Yes. Squarespace has rolled out some new integration features that make it easy to move your inventory over to their sales platform. We will help facilitate this migration so that it goes as smoothly as possible and you can get back into your studio!

  • Any new website build or website revamp contract includes a 2-hour training session on the basic functions of the website including inventory management and adding and removing content.

  • We are currently not taking on any new social media management clients.

  • Definitely. We offer newsletter services that can be used in a variety of ways. We can help to design and send a newsletter ahead of a particular event or sale, or we can help you set up a monthly or quarterly newsletter that can be managed by us - or - if you are excited to be more involved in this part of your marketing, we can help you set up newsletter goals that you can easily meet on your own.
